Yonder Way Farm is on the move!

Dearest Farm Patrons,

We wanted to let you know about some exciting changes up ahead for Yonder Way Farm in hopes that you will share in our excitement with us.

Over the past 5 years, we've had the blessing and privilege to be able to farm on family land in Brenham, TX. Most people our age only dream of farming since obtaining land is typically out of reach. Our time in Brenham has equipped us and help shape us into who we've become as farmers and as a family.

If an analogy could be applicable here, we'd compare our time of farming in Brenham to being in “college”. We've been able to study, learn, grow, fail, and explore the world of farming in such a grace-filled and sweet way.

Through this whole endeavor, we've been blown away and in awe at the response from those in our community and surrounding areas who have chosen us to be their farmer. We've grown beyond our wildest dreams thanks to each of you and your faithful support.

This brings us to our exciting news! Yonder Way Farm is moving to Fayetteville, TX!

We've had the opportunity to transition from farming on family land in Brenham to our own 40 acre homestead complete with a farmhouse, barn, storefront, and a guest cottage in Fayetteville. We fell in love with this small, quaint, and rural community just 30 minutes south of Brenham. Fayetteville is near some of our most beloved places and in the midst of beautiful countryside.

We're in the middle of transitioning which includes packing and unpacking a family along with the animals, barns, store, and all of the other bits and pieces that help a farm run. Things will still go on with business as usual with our regularly scheduled deliveries. We're still waiting for more power on the new farm to get the storefront up and running here. The store will hopefully be ready at the new farm in Fayetteville for order pick up by the end of the week.

As you can imagine, these past few weeks have been crazy to the max. This is by far one of the most challenging things we've ever done logistically speaking. There have been many sleepless nights since chickens tend to roost at night and, therefore, must be moved at night.

But, we remain so grateful with the fondest of memories and experiences from the farm we are moving from. Yet, we press forward in hopeful expectation and excitement as we nest and settle in at our new farm in Fayetteville.

We look forward to continuing our vision of farming alongside the new community we now live in. Our passion will remain to operate in a transparent and sustainable way. We desire to be a hospitable farm by hosting events like “Open Farm Days”, “Dinner and a Movie”, and new events that are in the brainstorming phase. Fayette County is a gem that is full of culture, events, and attractions that continue to draw people and cause them to fall in love with “Small Town Texas” all over again.

As for the farm in Brenham- the farm will be placed on the market in just a few short weeks by our family who owns the property since they are relocating as well. If you've ever been out to the farm in Brenham, you have seen the beauty that lies within the rolling hills. There are 2 houses, swimming pool, barns, 2 ponds, a metal building, a covered working pin, a solar well, irrigated pastures, and 94 beautiful acres. If you would like more information on the Brenham farm, you can email DebraClick@esmartmed.info.

The animals seem to be liking their new home and we are settling in nicely to our 100+ year old farmhouse. There is still a lot of work to be done to revive this old farm and bring back to life what this land was originally used for. But, we are up for the challenge and couldn't be more excited about it.

We can't thank you enough for growing with us this far. As we plant deep roots in Fayette County, we look forward to seeing this next season of farming unfold and getting to know those of you who faithfully support our farm by choosing us to be your farmer. The reward lies within getting to put the food we raise directly into your hands.

Come and pay us a visit at our new farm in Fayetteville!! If you have any questions leave them in the comments section! We'll close with some photos of the new farm.

With Thankful Hearts,

The Yonder Way Farm Family

Hello, I wanted to stop in and tell you how beautiful your place is. Congrats on moving to Fayetteville, I love this town. We spent many antique show weeks here before moving into Warrenton to do the shows there so I feel a closeness to this town. It's really a great place to live. We even considered moving here ourselves and we continue to look for that special place that we will one day move to in this area. Hope you have a great rest of the week, Theresa
